How Compute Hours work
An SHD Compute Hour is one reserved CPU core for one hour. A 16-core job that runs for 30 minutes uses 8 SHD Compute Hours. Meshing and solving both consume Compute Hours because both reserve compute.
Included hours are consumed first. When the allowance is used, paid accounts can keep running jobs at their tier's PAYG rate.

What a job costs after allowance
These examples show overage only. If the account still has included SHD Compute Hours remaining, the job is deducted from that balance first.

Choose Cloud
Pick SHD Cloud as the run target from the installed app. The case is the same one either way.

Confirm estimate
The app shows the reserved cores, estimated runtime and expected Compute Hours before you commit.

Run remotely
The case is decomposed across the cores you reserved, and progress is reported back to your account as it solves.

Receive results
Results are delivered back into the installed app and saved on your machine, and the real charge is reported with them.
What is tracked
The account dashboard records cloud job status, selected backend, requested cores, estimated Compute Hours, charged Compute Hours and current allowance. That is what lets customers and SHD staff see usage without a separate identity system.
What it is not
SHD Cloud is not permanent project storage. Results are delivered back to the installed app and saved on the customer machine. For local-only work, keep using the normal workstation solver target.
