How-to guides
One task, assumed competence, no teaching. The reader knows what they want and needs the clicks that do it.
Titled as the task, phrased the way somebody would search for it.
Where things are
Two places are named throughout, and they are not the same thing.
- A bold name on its own — "Select Refinements" — is a row in the setup tree down the left. Selecting it opens that pane.
- Tab → GROUP → Command — "Model → MESH → Generate mesh" — is the ribbon across the top. It has three tabs: Model (the case: geometry, physics, mesh and runs), Geometry (sketching and CAD operations) and Results (filters, plots and captures over the solution). Picking Results is what turns post-processing on; picking a tab switches the workbench, not just the strip of buttons.
A ribbon command that does not apply is greyed rather than hidden, with the reason on hover. That is deliberate: "Continue is greyed because no finished run is selected" is worth more than a button that was never drawn.
The last guide overlaps Troubleshooting deliberately. Troubleshooting is indexed by the error; this is indexed by the intent, and somebody who has not got an error message yet will look here.
